Privacy Policy

Short version: InfoForSF has no accounts, no logins, and no first-party cookies. We don't collect your personal data. Google Analytics and Google AdSense run on every page and collect data under their own policies, and the contact form emails us what you type into it.

What We Collect

InfoForSF itself collects no personal data. These third-party services are active on the site and collect data according to their own privacy policies:

Google Analytics 4 — anonymized usage data: pages visited, time on page, device type, approximate (city-level) location, and clicks on outbound links. We use it to see which guides are actually useful. Google Privacy Policy
Google AdSense — serves the ads on this site and uses cookies to do so, including based on your prior visits to this and other sites. How Google uses advertising data
Formspree — processes the contact form. If you send a message, the name, email address, and text you enter are transmitted to us by email through Formspree. We use it to answer you and to fix reported errors; we don't add you to a mailing list.

Cookies

We set no first-party cookies. Google Analytics and Google AdSense set their own. You can opt out of personalized Google advertising at adssettings.google.com, or block Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out extension.

Affiliate Links

Some links — hotels, luggage storage, travel eSIMs — are affiliate links, and clicking one may pass a tracking parameter to the merchant so they can credit the referral. We never receive your booking details, payment information, or personal data from those merchants; we see only aggregate commission reports.

Transit Data

Fares, schedules, terminal details, and service notes on this site are compiled from published information by BART, the SFMTA (Muni), Caltrain, SamTrans, Clipper, and San Francisco International Airport. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those agencies. It carries no live data feeds — where you need real-time status, we link you to the operator's own page.

Third-Party Links

We link to external sites (transit agencies, the airport, booking platforms). We aren't responsible for their privacy practices — review their policies before entering personal information.

Children's Privacy

InfoForSF is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Choices

If you'd like the message you sent through the contact form deleted from our inbox, ask and we'll delete it. If you use an ad blocker or tracker blocker, the site works normally.
